Ch. Dixie the Grey Ghost, U.D.T.
Volume
V, No. 3, 1991. Greko
de Bolshoy ( Lucas de Bolshoy x Xylvexter's
Vamp) was named NAWBA's top 1991
conformation dog by Dr. Andre Le Lann over a
very tough field that included
international, Canadian and American
champions and Group winners, making owner
Frank Parsonage's long drive from Nova
Scotia worth the effort. Although luck
played no part in Dr. Le Lann's selection,
Greko is indeed a lucky dog, however, having
been rescued by Parsonage from his previous
situation, and, in fact, only entering the
conformation class at the last minute Sunday
morning! The big male is a product of
Paul and Pauline De Rycke's highly regarded
Bolshoy breeding program.
Volume

Championships.

KNPV x Ch. Flandersfield Cendrillon CD) was
the 1991 NAWBA Working Championships winner
in Atlanta, Georgia. Kannon
successfully competed as the SchH II team
which represented NAWBA at the AWDF
Championships held in St. Louis, MO in March
1991.
Volume
VI, Spring 1992. Every
year in June, during the Idaho show circuit,
the kennel clubs offer extra activities.
One that has a growing popularity is
Coursing. Redwinds Carlo, owned by
Bonnie Rhodes, tried it for the first time
and absolutely loved it! He is
pictured enjoying the sight hound sport
called Lure Coursing. An artificial
lure is tied to a line and is pulled along a
random course athrough an open field,
simulating the coursing of live game.
In this instance, an adjacent race track
served as the course. Many Bouviers
are very keen on the lure. Carlo is
shown "hot on the bunny." Prey driven
Schutzhund dogs are great on Lure Coursing
as demonstrated by Carlo.
