Banjo Vom Schwarzen Baren SchH III daughter.  For a copy of the pedigree or videos, please contact Bill Spangler, 17301 Mahrie Rd. Manchester, MI 48158.

Volume IV. Summer 1990.
Banjo ( Marschel v.d. Stadt Homberg, SchHIII, IPO III, FH, angekoert x Edel v. Baronen Wald, SchHIII, ZTP) was imported from Germany at 7 weeks of age and is owned by Martha Sadler Hochstein.  Banjo, handled by Joanne Plumb was the first Bouvier to place in the American DVG Championship Schutzhund Trial with second place in 1989 with a 286 V with high scores in tracking and protection.  This year he was third place with a 289 V and again obtained high scores in tracking and protection.  He is an American conformation champion and rated V2 in the German show ring.  In 1988, he passed the German Bouvier Club koerung which is divided into three phases: conformation, temperament evaluation, and protection.  Banjo is the ideal Bouvier - excellent in conformation and working ability and dedicated to his family.

Volume V, Spring 1991.  Ch. Dixie the Grey Ghost, U.D.T.

Volume V, No. 3, 1991.   Greko de Bolshoy ( Lucas de Bolshoy x Xylvexter's Vamp) was named NAWBA's top 1991 conformation dog by Dr. Andre Le Lann over a very tough field that included international, Canadian and American champions and Group winners, making owner Frank Parsonage's long drive from Nova Scotia worth the effort.  Although luck played no part in Dr. Le Lann's selection, Greko is indeed a lucky dog, however, having been rescued by Parsonage from his previous situation, and, in fact, only entering the conformation class at the last minute Sunday morning!  The big male is a product of Paul and Pauline De Rycke's highly regarded Bolshoy breeding program.

Volume V, Winter 1991.   NAWBA's 1991 AWDF Team Championships competition team consisted of Frank Krasinski with Centauri's Kannon SchH II,  Ria Klep with NAWBA Working Champion Bram Pasja le Jardin du Moulin IPO III and Ken Cleveland and Awesome Devil Girl SchH1.  The team finished in third place at the NAWBA hosted Championships.

Volume V, Number 4, 1991.   Centauri's Kannon SchH III (Robbie vd Plantage SchH1 KNPV x Ch. Flandersfield Cendrillon CD) was the 1991 NAWBA Working Championships winner in Atlanta, Georgia.  Kannon successfully competed as the SchH II team which represented NAWBA at the AWDF Championships held in St. Louis, MO in March 1991.

Volume VI, Spring 1992.   Every year in June, during the Idaho show circuit, the kennel clubs offer extra activities.  One that has a growing popularity is Coursing.  Redwinds Carlo, owned by Bonnie Rhodes, tried it for the first time and absolutely loved it!  He is pictured enjoying the sight hound sport called Lure Coursing.  An artificial lure is tied to a line and is pulled along a random course athrough an open field, simulating the coursing of live game.  In this instance, an adjacent race track served as the course.  Many Bouviers are very keen on the lure.  Carlo is shown "hot on the bunny." Prey driven Schutzhund dogs are great on Lure Coursing as demonstrated by Carlo.

Volume VI, Summer 1992.  Netherlands & American Ch. Tino Faisca v.d. Vanenblikhoeve.  Tino was born April 15, 1985 at the Vanenblikhoeve Kennel in Enschede, Holland.  He was raised and shown by his proud owner and breeder, Mr. Harry Bruntjes.  Tino made quite an impact in the show ring with his undeniable style and presence.  Each judge was was shown under commented as part of his critique on judging Tino that the dog had tremendous good nature and character.  In 1990 he was Best of Opposite Sex to his daughter at the National Specialty in Hilversum.  Tino won his first Best in Show at fifteen months of age.  He continued that winning ability throughout his show career, including Best in Show at three years of age at the Dutch National Specialty whose entry was over 700 Bouviers.
